Joe (4) SSO is possible, but BMC do not have a coherent strategy. We've integrated SSO Plugin into RoD-style environments as companies delivering services to third parties is becoming ever more common.
However, on the wider discussion, RoD seems one step towards www.salesforce.com style deployment, but the primary challenge for BMC is how do you take a product never designed for use over the Internet, and make it sufficiently quick/secure enough to work over the Internet? I believe there's some Gartner report that picks up the same point.
