He/she is accountable for the development and management of the technical aspects/team members as it relates to the Service Management Application (SMA). Candidate is directly responsible for achieving customer requirements, maintaining customer satisfaction, coordinating technical team aspects, and managing the implementation of additional functionality in support of the overall SMA project Required Skills 1. Lead/Direct Technical Team Members (7-9 years) – Engineer will be responsible for leading a technical team of approximately 3-5 members. He/she should have strong leadership and technical knowledge as well as strong communication/written skills. Engineer should be able to lead and/or mentor junior level developers. He/she should also be able to communicate project estimates, risks, and/or concerns to project management. 2. Familiarity with Java Coding Language (7-9 years) – Engineer should have intimate knowledge of Java coding language. He/she should be able to manage system releases and/or builds. Engineer should be able to clearly articulate technical aspects of project. 3. Familiarity with Oracle Database 11g – (7-9 years) – Engineer should have knowledge of Oracle Databases, specifically 11g, as this will most likely be the back-end database used in conjunction the BMC Remedy ITSM. He/she will responsible for integrating BMC Remedy ITSM with database engine and coordinating with other project team members/stakeholders. Engineer will also be responsible for the database schema and data modeling activities. 4. Familiarity with Web Services (5-7 years) – Engineer should be have knowledge/experience utilizing web services as as this will most likely be the avenue used to communicate with third party applications. 5. Familiarity with Solaris OS Platform (5-7 years) – Engineer should have knowledge of Solaris OS Platform, specifically Solaris 10, as this will most likely be operating system used to implement the solution in development and testing environments. 6. Familiarity for with System Development Lifecycle (5-7 years) – Engineer should have knowledge of System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and be comfortable operating fast-paced/changing environment. He/she will apply specialization to conceptualize, design, construct, test and implement portions of business and technical information technology solutions through the application development methodology. Preferred Skills 1. Ability to Configure BMC Remedy’s ITSM 7.6 Suite (7-9 years) – Engineer must be a subject matter expert and have intimate knowledge of Remedy applications with hands on experience with ITSM 7 & CMDB and other BMC ITSM related products. He/she will be responsible for configuring COTs product to meet client requirements. Additionally, engineer should have experience in administering Remedy ITSM/ARS infrastructure(s) and developing ITSM/ARS applications with integration to other third party systems. 2.
