We're starting to look at web services, ultimately to exchange
data with our customer's applications. At the moment, we're simply trying to
consume a sample web service (from the integration guide) to prove the
technology before we commit customer resources.
We've built a simple form with a pair of fields to get a stock
quote and a Filter with a Set Fields/Data Source Web Service action to consume
the web service. "Reload" seems to read the WSDL (url). When we test though,
it returns "Cannot establish a network connection to the AR System Plug-In
server (ARERR 8760)". Per Integration Guide, we've verified that Web Services
Plugin and Mid-Tier are installed (Mid Tier on a different server, has been
operational for some time now).
Any suggestions?
We're running ARS 7.6.3 on an Oracle 11 db on Solaris 5.10 (Mid Tier is 7.6.4).
