Hi Jesse, In ITSM V7.1, for importing products, you can use Data Management Tool, which will help you to import the data with proper validation. DSL and DHL kind of stuffs can be easily imported into the Remedy system using this tool.
Also u can found the respective document for importing the product data in BMC website.
