Lars,

According to our SHARE:Application Properties, we are using version 1.0.01
of the Data Wizard tool (ARS 7.1 / ITSM 7.0.3) (not sure what version you
are on).

We used the Data Wizard (not the Data Load tool) to update our Support
Organizations and found two issues with our version:
1. The Change Assignee Support Group Name was not being updated. This was
a known issue (KA317736 / SW00346842). The KB article says there is no
solution, but I found that the issue was some SQL using incorrect column
ids. I can dig out my notes if you need me to.
2. The SQL doesn't update the Support Organization information in the
'Full Name' field on the AST:AssetPeople form. This is the data that is
displayed on the People tab of Assets (CIs). When the people relationship
is for a support group, it has a value like
"SupportCompany->SupportOrganization->SupportGroup".  The wizard doesn't
update it to show the new Support Org.

There are a couple of things that we would like it to be able to do with
Operational Categories and Product Categories that it doesn't, like
merge/update old values into existing values. For example, say there are
two Product Catalog entries such as "Oracle DB" and "Oracle Database", and
you wanted to get rid of "Oracle DB" and just have "Oracle Database". You
can't use the Wizard to update the Incidents or Changes that are
categorized with "Oracle DB".

Anyway, that's been our experience with it so far.

Thad
