I recently worked with BMC on setting up FTS in a server group and was told that each secondary server references the FTS Collection Directory on the primary server by creating a shared folder to the location on the primary server (i.e. \\primaryserver\collection) and referencing this folder in the Administration Console/FTS tab in the FTS Collection Directory Field.
