It is not possible with AIE. You need a separate job for each class and can
rerun a specific “query” on your source to select only the appropriate records
for those classes. You will also need a separate job for the parent
relationship.

It is possible with Meta-Update. That is why the sample CSV (or SQL Query)
which includes a second Class LookUp CSV, columns of lists of associations, a
parent relationship column, and class dependent attributes, can be scripted in
two hours.

Check out this sample (almost exactly like yours with a few extra
complications) in our Management Overview
<http://www.softwaretoolhouse.com/product/SthMupd/mupd_mgmt_smry.html>
presentation or the CSV import
<http://www.softwaretoolhouse.com/product/SthMupd/wwrug2010.html> presentation.

Trial licenses are free. Learning is so simple that the Live Install that
comes with the trial (an hour) is generally enough to get you going.

Subject: Is it possible to set the CI Class Name during run time instead of
preselecting(static value) for an AIE or AI(Atrium Integrator) job

** Is it possible to set the CI Class during run time instead of
preselecting(static value) while creating AIE or AI job?

I have source data with columns:

                                 CI ID(Unique Name) | CIType | ParentID

ParentID is nothing but CI ID of the parent CI.

The CI Types could be ( Computer System, Hard disk, Router , Switch etc...)

So instead of creating one job per CI Class type, I was thinking if it is
possible to pass the CI Class information to one single AIE or AI job during
runtime from the source data.
