Sorry I thought the question was if it can be used. I'm pretty sure at my last environment, we went with MySQL in prod. I think not depends on how large of an environment you are running though. We were a small implementation with something like 2 concurrent users. We didn't really experience any issues that specifically had to do with the MySQL DB. Our issues were more around the number of rows returned and things of that nature.
