If you are running thru a firewall you need to set up a static TCP port for the AR Server to listen on. You might want to set up a private RPC as well.
You can run multiple Email Engines on the same server. Each needs to be in its own directory folder. Each engine needs its own separate RMI port (Defined with the com.bmc.arsys.emaildaemon.RMIPort line in the EmailDaemon.properties configuration file). On my Linux servers, where I have multiple ARS instances running, each instance has its own Email Engine.
