I would like to post a job opening for Remedy Consultants here. I have a direct client in Houston, TX (read: huge oil&gas company) who is in need of a number of Remedy ITSM Analysts. This is for a long-term consulting gig (should go for multiple years). First one to start on November 1st. Here's the job specs: Remedy ITSM Analyst BASIC FUNCTION OF THE WORK GROUP Maintain and support the systems used to run Remedy ITSM (IT Services Management) which includes Service Desk (incident and problem management) and Change & Release Management. Assist with development & support-related EMIT 2.0 project tasks. BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS • Develop, configure, and support new incident, problem, and change functionality within ITSM based on agreed business requirements (includes forms, overlays, extensions, workflow, alerts, filters, escalations, menus, & other related components) • Own resolution of assigned problem tickets, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend / implement fixes • Provide break-fix support for forms & workflow within ITSM • Assist with building and maintaining integrations to / from ITSM (includes web services) • Work closely with EMIT 2.0 project team and business resources on design, development, and changes related to ITSM functionality • Document solution design, configurations, and development work • Develop time estimates for work requests as needed • Follow proper issue management and change control procedures SKILL REQUIREMENTS General Skills : - Communicate clearly - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - Work effectively with a global team - Coordinate multiple activities and tasks simultaneously Position Specific Skills : - 3+ years technical experience developing / supporting ITSM and/or Remedy applications - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues, identify root cause, and recommend solutions (i.e. good at analyzing another individual’s code, determining the issue, convincing other technical resources where the issue resides, and correcting the issue) - Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server preferred) - Prior experience designing / developing Remedy applications, forms, and extensions from scratch (i.e. introduction of new functionality) - Demonstrated ability to quickly learn / understand new technologies / applications (to support new forms, overlays, extensions, workflows, etc. developed by another individual) Skills considered an advantage (Nice-to-have): - 5+ years technical experience with Remedy ITSM and other Remedy applications (e.g. SRM, CMDB) - Prior experience supporting Remedy ITSM 7.6.04 - Prior experience supporting the Remedy AR Server - Prior experience supporting Remedy foundational data and permissions/roles - Prior experience writing system integrations / interfaces to Remedy applications - Prior experience working with projects to address technical requirements, researching / addressing technical issues, and completing support related project deliverables COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT Windows Server 2008; Microsoft SQL Server 2008; BMC Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) 7.6.04 Anyone interested, please let me know!
