The ideal candidate is one that has a strong technical background that can perform both pre-implementation advisor level interaction and service delivery activities in the area of enterprise asset management for both internal solution teams and external clients.
We are in search of an individual who will be responsible for driving the implementation and integration of a broad spectrum of enterprise asset management data sets (such as SCCM, ADDM and LANDesk and other similar data sets) into a central configuration management database (CMDB) in a multitenant BMC ITSM environment. The candidate MUST BE well versed in ITIL v2/v3 and BMC Atrium CMBD and implemented both data categorization and normalization within BMC ITSM in an ITIL v2/v3 compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will:
* Perform Initial and ongoing creation of data normalization rules beyond what BMC provides as a standard.
* Interface with BMC to implement quarterly updates to the BMC normalization engine.
* Recommend, design and enable data classes which should be normalized as a best practice.
* Reviewing data that has come into normalized classes to see which records did not normalize and just went in as is (no matches) to determine if they need to be added, adjusted etc.
· Define, implement and maintain standards for data precedence and reconciliation rules.
· Monitor data reconciliation and normalization jobs for failures and work with appropriate teams to resolve errors and ensure the data jobs complete successfully.
· Provide BMC Asset Management Subject Matter Expertise (SME) apply expert understanding of how the BMC ITSM products facilitate asset management and has the ITIL understanding of Asset Management process.
· Develop and document operational processes for data reconciliation, data precedence rules and normalization best practices.
Technical and Behavioral Skills
The candidate must have strong presentation and oral & written skills and have the ability to interface at the CFO/CIO/CEO level.
Candidate must also have a pre-sales consulting background and strong business development skills to work with both partners and clients.
The selected candidate would also be expected to become well versed in all of Unisys’s practice offerings in order to increase pull through opportunities, ensure maximum client exposure, and broaden our joint services and solutions approach.
