I'm new to Asset Mangement and I refer to the CMDB 7.6.04 Mapping Your Data spreadsheet a lot when trying to figure what class and product categorization to put a CI under, but some of our CI's just don't seem to fit under any of the classes. For example Video Recorder (or camcorder). How does everyone else come to their conclusions on where to place their CI's under (what class and categorization). Is there anymore info or documentation to assist with this? Or do you end up just guessing and adding them under an already existing Class and then creating a new Categorization that you feel is most relevant?
