Subject: ARS 8.0 database versions for Linux

**
My company is doing a datacenter move and we are replacing equipment, we are
moving from Solaris 9 zones to RedHat RHEL 5 OS and around the same time we
are doing an ARServer upgrade from 7.5 to 8.0 and I have some questions on
whether we have to upgrade our Oracle database from 10G to 11G. Can we just
upgrade the Client Libraries to 11G and upgrade the 10G database later or do we
have to be on an 11G database as well? We are a totally custom shop, no OOTB
Remedy apps if that makes any difference.

Everyone needs deadlines. Even the beavers. They loaf around all summer, but
when they are faced with the winter deadline, they work like fury. If we didn't
have deadlines, we'd stagnate. Walt Disney
