It should be getting the Java location from the PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH On Unix platforms I usually set a JAVA_HOME (which points to the directory that Java in installed in) and a JAVADIR (which is more of a search path for libraries and applications) in addition to the PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH
