Has anyone implemented a Service Request form with management approval, but 
without using the normal Remedy 7.6.4 workflow process that references the 
manager field on the people record? We are doing a Service Request 
implementation, however, our interface to the Human Resources database is not 
set up yet since we are moving to a new system, therefore, our manager field is 
not always up to date and we have to do this process manually for now. 

We attempted to create a character field, that would populate another dropdown 
list when a few characters were typed. However, we have a multi tenancy 
scenario and that is preventing users from searching for their manager under 
their company, since we are not giving the customers unrestricted access to the 
DB. All the SRD's are built under our parent company and users have the Access 
Restriction to that parent company. If we also add their individual company to 
the access restrictions, they have access to knowledge articles that are 
restricted for IT only. If anyone has completed a similar implementation, any 
information about it would be great. I understand that it would be easier to do 
this with the OOB approvals, but again, our interface won't be ready until over 
a year from now, and the Access Management SRD needs management approval for 
healthcare regulation purposes.
