I did that in 7.6.03 (shouldn't be that different) with DSO. Used the CMDB on C a bit differently than BMC recommends though. I set up different datasets from each feed (actually had a view form into another (HP-Openview) data source) and stored them in their own dataset. A.Asset, B.Asset, ect... If you want them in a single dataset, you may want to send them into their own datasets and then use the recon engine to merge the data. Could have some duplicate CI names to account for.
I also made use of staging forms where I had the data go to a staging form, then DSO'd the staging form across and had some workflow (filters) that converted some data that wasn't the same between systems (ie companies) and then pushed the data into the proper forms depending on the CI Class. In my case the data was only updated by the source systems - read only in the main system where it was used mostly for relating to tickets. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jared L. For clarity I will call them A, B and C. I would like to export the Atrium data from A and B, and import the Atrium Data from A & B into the Atrium CMDB on C. Has anyone done this before? If so what tool did you use to export and how did you complete this? Regards, Jared L.
