Good morning, I've been asked to investigate how we would be able to provide the ability to set up alternate approvers for specific Product Names, not just for a specific approval process. The only option I can think of is likely to be an ugly looking customization since BMC historically wipes out the approval engine with their patches. Have any of you had to meet this requirement and found a way to do it without customization?
The basic requirement is that let's say you have an approver who is the CFO that approvers AP and GL application changes. However, that CFO would like to have one director set up as his alternate for AP, and a different director set up as his alternate for GL. Let's assume there is some regulatory reason (I've not heard of one, just inventing something off the top of my head) why you can't allow non-officers to be capable of doing the approvals for both.
