Hello! First, I had not seen this list of "technical discussions" about me until this morning. This was priceless! And I am so happy that you didn't stray too far off topic. :-)
Next, I'll keep this short. Dan was right in that a minor cerebral aneurysm coiling last summer went without incident. Last Thursday a portion of my skull was removed, some complicated blood vessel junctions were repaired, and they sealed it all up again. I have a most splendid row of staples in my head. Very attractive. I am told there are only about a dozen people who could handle this, and two of them were there. All I had to do was show up, and pretty much sleep through it. There appear to be no long lasting effects, other than a splitting headache and a well swollen left eye, which gets better every day. This was unexpected, and I for one am very pleased by it all.
