I use the BIRT developer tool to create a new Remedy based report. I use my credentials and server name to build the report. Before I add the report to Report form I remove my userid and password but then when I run the report it fails. If I add back my user name and password the report works. If I login as another user and run the report I see that users login in the SQL logs.
So why do I have to embed my ID and password in the report for it to work? I also notice that when I move the report to another server I must change the Connection string in BIRT to match that host. Thoughts?
