Hi All, Thanks for all your suggestions.
Finally the issue was rectified by removing the "wlclient.jar" and "wljmsclient.jar" files from AO/baocdp/webinf/lib folder and copy the wlthint3client.jar on the same folder. Once this was done, grid was up with the adapter disabled; once the adapter was enabled, grid came in running with the adapter also in running state.
