It is a regression from the previous version in 8.0 and 8.1 RTM/GA version. Yes this has been addressed in the cumulative hotfixes (Midtier) on version 8.0 and 8.1 or applying the latest patches on 8.0 (Patch 3) and 8.1 (Patch 2) should help get past this issue.
