Hi John, The "synattackprotect" key is located here on the SQL database server:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Tcpip\Parameters I had to set this to "0", reboot the database server and start the AR system install from scratch. Again would be worth checking the windows event log to see if arserver.exe is actually failing to connect to the database. I was waiting up to 2 hours before the install would fail because it was connecting, then getting dropped, then trying ages to connect and it would just end up in a vicious circle until it gave up.
