As Terry mentioned we also had to install the mid-tier on our CR Server even though we don't actually use that mid-tier. Hasn't been an issue, the files are just sitting there not doing anything other than providing the viewer we need.
The documentation makes this process appear straight forward but it is not. It took over a week of working with support and making numerous configuration adjustments to get it to work. We don't use BMC support so it appears to be an issue across the board. Now that we have everything working we are very satisfied with the results. The reports run faster than they ever did on the user tool, a pleasant outcome. The only reports we have an issue with are those that used the dialog parameter of running a report via an active link button. But we have replaced alot of those with Report Console Scheduled reports, not quite as flexible but can be worked around. The Report Console reports do lack any way to format, cannot even do landscape, or get totals. I'm hoping these things will be future enhancements.
