There is one table that stores index names, yes.
The index for field id 1 is implicit for all regular forms, so that would not
be in there I think.
No, I do not think any tables are created for each currency.
For each functional currency defined for an individual currency field the
system stores amount, current currency type, timestamp and exchange rates for
al the functional currencies. But this is done within normal text-data of that
field, and does not add additional columns to the database.
