Hello Everyone, This is Basant and looking for some valuable information regarding the JDBC & ODBC compatibility in BMC Remedy 8.0.01 Release. As I searched this information on BMC Communities and other technical forum but did get the exact information on this topic. I kindly request to all of you that p, lease provide me the below information ? 1: - In BMC Remedy 7.6.04 SP5, There is an OBDC Driver that will come along with BMC Remedy User, the mid-tier, or the ARWebReportViewer installation. But I searched and found that The Remedy ODBC driver is no longer supported in 8.1. Why? Can anyone please provide me the complete detail on this? May I know that, Why BMC is stopping to use ODBC Driver from 8.1 releases and where we are getting JDBC installation in 8.1 like ODBC in 7.6.04? 2: I have searched and checked on BMC Technical forum websites and found that BMC will not support ODBC driver and will support JDBC Driver from 8.0.01 release, but I am not able to find the same information in BMC Technical Documents. Can anyone please provide me the any URL to download or Online Documents for this? 3: Why BMC is moving for the JDBC Driver instead of ODBC Driver. Can anyone please let me know that what’ll be the advantage of using JDBC Driver and What‘ll disadvance of using ODBC Driver.
