Hi Peter,

Thanks.  Our source actually is not from another DB but from a csv file. That
is why we are looking for a way to import the csv file without using the
dataimport tool as it takes us sometime to load the data inside the DB.

Thanks again :)

Yes, but on each record you will need to set the Request ID (Field 1) to a
unique number (padded up to 15 characters if you need to sort on this field)
and also set the other core fields.
If real data isn’t needed in the core fields you could set them to dummy values.

If your source database is accessible to the Remedy database then you could use
a view form to access the data directly rather than import it. You’d still need
to identify a unique key though.

Hi Peter,

Thanks. I will check on that.  Can I just use a straight data import from
oracle to insert on the T Table once the status History is disabled?

Hi Wesley,

Yes, in ARS 8.1 it’s in the Basic area of the Definitions tab of the form –
Disable Status History

In earlier versions I think you’ll find it in the form properties

Cheers

Peter

Hi Missy,

Thanks for the help. We are currently using the DataImport tool already and it
is still a bit slow.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the help. How can I turn-off the H table? Is it in the parameters or
in the properties of the form?

Thanks,

Wesley

You could use AI to do this.

If this is a custom form and you don’t need the status history you could turn
this off which would remove the H table making the import a little easier.

Hi,

Would like to know if you do have any DB import script that I can import a 500K
rows of data to the Remedy DB (T and H table) on a DB level.

Thanks for the reply guys!!! :)
