It’s funny, because I’ve had contractors disable it because they didn’t like it 
and such.  It works ok for version control but it is a bit cumbersome (version 
control is in general.)  It is fairly effective though once you learn how to 
use the back end Remedy forms that do things like who has what checked out 
(which you can build reports on, delete records to unlock things from people no 
longer with the company, etc.)

Is anybody effectively using the built-in version control in AR?  Does this 
meet the needs of those shops that require version control?

We have it turned on and I have used it on occasion to restore an object from a 
previous def.  We do not require source control so really we are only using it 
to keep developers from working on the same objects and automatic def history.
