In our sap portal, MYSSOSAP2 cookie is passed to SSO class files in deploy MT earfile which talks to ARS via AREASSO plugin on the servers, that autheniticate user and send information back to the browser to sign user on. During the depolyment on 8.1 on WAS8.5, we ran into issues that resulted in the JSESSIONID being config to JSESSIONID1. We think the portal is send MYSSOSAP cookie with jsessionid, but the WAS is returning jsessionid1, can the connection between the Myssosap != jsessionid1. We will be testing changing the jsessionid to jsessionid1 in portal, but that can't be the solution as that change breaks other stuff. (( not sure if this will resolve the issue)) We have tried change the jessionid1 to jsessionid in the WAS configuration but that revert to login redirect issue, which was later state by BMC said -- How websphere works, it will create a JSESSIONID cookie and because Mid-Tier use the same JSESSIONID Authentication logic it generates conflicts with the cookie.
