You said that 'Case ID+' is a field label.
You did not supply the line of code that was producing the error.
(ars_LoadQualifier) So I have to talk about what might be going on.

The docs for say this:
"
ars_LoadQualifier(ctrl, schema, qualstring, displayTag)
 <snip>
When mapping field names, the server will refer to the view specified
in displayTag. If no view is specified, the server will use the
default admin view.
"

Some ideas:

What value did you use for the displayTag in your call to ars_LoadQualifier?
What is the label for the field on the Default View for the form?
What is the field's DB name?
Have you tried using the field's DB name?
