Dear Artemis users

Does anybody have any tips/experience in preparing figures for publication from Artemis? I've got a problem with a journal that requires 800 dpi and is telling me that my figures fall short. Do you know what the dpi of the raw File->Print Image Files output is? I've looked at GIF, JPG, BMP and PNG output by eye and all look much the same, except JPG seems rather fuzzier.

That brings me to my second question, which is that the journal wants either JPG, TIF or EPS. If JPG is the inferior output from Artemis, then I'm a bit stuck in the absense of TIF or EPS. Is there any plug-in that would do these formats?

Just one other minor thing, I notice that the "select Format" drop-down menu is giving me 2 choices for everything, eg. "bmp" in lower case and also "BMP" in upper-case, and the same applies to the other formats. Is this significant or just a wrinkle? (I'm on v.10.5.1 via WebStart, so I think I'm up to date with everything).

Cheers and thanks for any assistance
Derek
