Just to let you know that this is now possible in the development version of
Artemis:
http://www.sanger.ac.uk/resources/software/artemis/#development

Right click on the graph to get the popup menu and select ŒConfigure...¹.
Then use the ŒLine size¹ slider to reduce the size of the line(s) that you
want to hide to zero.
