The garbage collector removes old binary artifacts that are unused, so the
frequency may be tuned depending on your Artifactory usage.
If you have frequent SNAPSHOTS deployment, hourly is a good practice. If you
do nightly releases only, daily is OK.
On multi cores machine, the garbage collector has very minor influence on
normal user response time. Does it have a bad effect on your system?
