I'm not sure this is directly related to artifactory/maven.

but i can't find out how can i use artifactory/maven to install a maven
project on a remote server,
without having it's pom/src files (as on the development server).

in a similar way to rpm & yum on linux.

i could create a tar.gz (assembly) or rpm, but then i'd loose all the
advantage of dependency managment maven gives me, and end up with a FAT JAR
/ RPM... 

can you point out what solutions are available? 

and again, sorry if this is a bit off topic.
