First a small clarification - the max size in the UI only applies for
uploads via the browser. There is no limit on the size of artifacts deployed
to Artifactory via REST (Maven).
As for the error - Artifactory doesn't send back a 502 (bad gateway)
response so it this error is probably returned either by your servlet
container or by a proxy, such as Apache. The reason is likely a timeout
while sending the upload stream, so you should check the logs and
configuration of your proxy and servlet container. If you see any errors in
the Artifactory log while this happens (except for connection aborted)
please let us know, but like I said, this error is most likely a reverse
proxy/container related.
