Thanks for your help.
We tried to upgrade to 2.3.1 which contains derby 10.6.
As soon as we replaced the artifactory war on tomcat and started it, the
same exception is thrown.
So, I tend to believe that derby 10.6 does not fix this issue.

Any other idea before we are forced to migrate to mysql?
