Hi Raphael,

In short, no; it's not possible to split the storage location of different
repositories belonging to the same instance of Artifactory.
What I can suggest is that you maintain two instances for these purposes:

   1. An instance mainly for resolution, lighter on security and backup,
   connected to the web, etc.
   2. An instance for deployment and publication, in a secure, backed-up
   location.

This way you can point your Maven build's distribution management to
instance 2 and resolution to instance 1 and\or 2.
