Hi Khai,

If you want that the users that are authenticated via LDAP be automatically created in Artifactory, please make sure that in your LDAP settings, you have "Auto Create Artifactory Users" checked. This will create the user coming from LDAP in Artifactory upon authentication. These users will then appear in your user list, and you can add/remove them from any Artifactory internal group and assign permissions accordingly.

HTH,

Hello. I have configured artifactory 2.3.1 to authenticate against our ldap server. I have also added artifactory groups (readers, deployers, and admins) and assigned appropriate permissions to each group. I have also configured it so that artifactory will add new ldap users to the artifactory readers and deployers group. Authentication against the ldap is working because I can login with my ldap account just fine. What I would like to do is give a few ldap users admin permission while everyone else gets reader/deployer permission. After logging in with my ldap account I log out and then log back in as the default artifactory admin user. Now I want to add my ldap user account to the artifactory admin group but I can't seem to do it since the ldap user accounts are not in the artifactory users list. Is there a way to change artifactory permissions on an ldap account?
