I use root as user for artifactory - look the user info (snapshot from artifactory system log)
User Info ======================== user.dir | /home5/mvn/artifactory user.home | /root user.language | en user.name | root user.timezone | MET And if i'm logged on as root and try to create the directory manually - it works.
