Hi,
The count query on the repository level is counting only deployed artifacts
on the repository, keeping in mind that the numbers are the same + the fact
that
no error shows up in the log we can safely assume that the upgrade went well
and no artifacts were lost.
FYI, If the the verbose log was not turned on during the import then the
errors would be shown in the artifactory.log so double check both logs.
However, the different count you mentioned is pretty strange. So here is
what I suggest you do:
1. Re-build the index on your 2.2.1 instance, Stop Artifactory, Delete the
Index folder under ARTIFACTORY_HOME/data, Start Artifactory.
2. After the index is rebuild and Artifactory is up go to the Home page and
look at the Artifacts count, refresh the page and see that there is no async
deletion running in the back meaning the count is the same.
As for the recommended stable version, 2.3.1 is the latest stable version,
you can track all issues on our
JIRA<https://issues.jfrog.org/jira/browse/RTFACT/fixforversion/10489>
.
