I did some more investigation into this issue and it appears to not be a
problem with Artifactory and LDAP. The issue is around a long-running Firefox
(I haven't tried any other browsers). If I restart my browser, everything works
fine.

Thank you for the reply. My answers to your questions are below. Unfortunately,
our LDAP server is notoriously unstable. I haven't had a chance to look at the
code, but I was wondering if you were using persistent connections?

1. I'm not sure I understand the question. Once the problem occurs, I cannot
log in to disable LDAP. The only option is to restart.
2. Yes.
3. In order to restart Artifactory, I have to log in to the machine. Our
accounts are tied to LDAP, so the act of logging in requires a query to the
LDAP server and the response times are fairly consistent.

Thank you again,

Val

Hi,

We are not aware of slowdowns accessing LDAP after period of time. It is
possible that the connection to the LDAP server is not stable.
Few questions:

 1. Do you see any change if you disable LDAP and enable it after few seconds?
 2. Is it back to normal if you restart Artifactory?
 3. Can you send a query to the LDAP server from the same machine running
Artifactory and see if the response time is better?

I have an issue where, after a period of time (say roughly a 1/2 hour),
Artifactory freezes when trying to log in. It doesn't matter whether I try to
log in using an LDAP account or the admin (non-LDAP) account. I'm using
Artifactory 2.3.1. This problem went away when I deactivated LDAP, but
obviously that's not an acceptable solution. Has anyone else run in to this
problem?

Thanks in advance,
