Jared,

The folks at JFrog can help better than I but here's a few pointers.

The User Guide for Artifactory is here:
http://wiki.jfrog.org/confluence/display/RTF/Artifactory+User+Guide

This section may be pertient for you:
http://wiki.jfrog.org/confluence/display/RTF/Installing+on+Windows

You didn't mention what versions of Artifactory, Java or Windows you are
using. Is Java even installed on your system? You may have to edit the
wrapper.java.command line in your wrapper.conf file if java isn't on the
path (see the link above).

If you look in the Windows Event Viewer (Start > Control Panel >
Administrative Tools > Event Viewer) you should see a log entry in the
System logs pertaining to the error.

HTH,

Subject: [Artifactory-users] Windows could not start the Artifactory
serviceon Local Computer

Hi all:

I'm new to Windows (Linux for the last... well, since the dinosaurs
roamed
the earth) and to Artifactory (as in, about 2 hours ago), and I'm trying
to
install off of some documentation written by my predecessor (which is
vague
to say the least).

I've run an InstallService.bat file that adds Artifactory to the Windows
Services list. It 'appears to be successfully installed (as it sows up
in
the list), but then when I try and start the service, I get the
following
message:

**************
Windows could not start the Artifactory service on Local Computer.
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.
**************

The only other thing that I've got is a wrapper.conf file, and on
initial
inspection, I've got everything in the right place (directory structure
and
stuff). Am I just stupid? is there something here that I'm just not
seeing? Is there some simple step that one must do to actually make
Artifactory function in a windows environment?

NOTE: If there is an RTFM that I an read, please point me to it...

Here's my wrapper.conf file if it helps at all:
