I tried 2.0.5 and 2.0.4 with Jenkins 1.447, 1.432 and even with 1.428 which
is the minimum required core, but to no avail.

Could it could be a problem when running it locally? I am trying with
winstone (java -jar jenkins.war) and with jetty (hpi:run).
However,I have Jenkins 1.432 on a Tomcat in a remote server and I don't
have that problem there.
Noam mentioned that there's a classpath issue for a logger class with
Jetty. Maybe this could be a similar problem?
