We reached the same conclusion (probably at the same time ). Definitely the
mirror definition is causing the <distributionManagement> section in the pom
to be ignored.
Does it seem that the Maven Ant Tasks has a bug in this regard? I wouldn’t
mind if it tries to deploy to the mirror but unfortunately it is a “virtual
directory” in Artifactory and therefore cannot be written to (hence the
405).
My work around for now is to have a settings.xml sans the mirror in the
${user.home}/.ant and another in the ${user.home}/.m2 directories,
thoughts???
