The majority of Artifactory's REST-API resource now return JSON, not XML.
If you're using Artifactory's pro version, you can use the File List
resource<http://wiki.jfrog.org/confluence/display/RTF/Artifactory%27s+REST+API#ArtifactorysRESTAPI-FileList>
which
basically does that.
If you're using the open source version, you can use the Folder Info
resource<http://wiki.jfrog.org/confluence/display/RTF/Artifactory%27s+REST+API#ArtifactorysRESTAPI-FileList>
to
walk the tree.
