The latest version query can support Ivy modules, but it doesn't achieve
this by parsing the Ivy descriptors; instead, it utilizes the heuristics of
the repository
layouts<http://wiki.jfrog.org/confluence/display/RTF/Repository+Layouts>to
identify modules and relies on the artifact's timestamps to determine
the latest version.
This will of course work only if the artifacts in question comply to the
layout enforced by their hosting repository (that is, identified by the
repository as valid modules).
Should you require a more customized process, you can always utilize
Artifactory's
user-plugins<http://wiki.jfrog.org/confluence/display/RTF/User+Plugins>
to
create your own extensions.
