Hi

I'm trying to configure Mail in Artifactory (Admin -> Mail) and I'm
getting a "An error has occurred while sending an e-mail: 334."

The log says the same and lot more.

I have checked my credentials and setup, and I'm using the exact same
setup as in other systems (eg. my Jenkins build server).

Basics are: port 25, NO TLS and NO SSL, but username and password are
configured.

Googling the error does not give me anything regarding Artifactory,
but only something about base64 encoded username and password.

The mail server is not within my reach and is a MS Exchange.

Enabling TLS or SSL gives other error codes, thus the server seems to
respond correctly on these.

If we remove the username and password from the mail configuration in
Artifactory, mail within the domain seems to work - at least
Artifactory doesn't complain.
But relay permitted for outside email-adresses, and we need to be able
to send to outside.

Artifactory is version: 2.6.3 running on CentOS linux.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks.

Best regards,
Bue Petersen
