Hello,

another (more complicated) technique we used in the past to synchronize:
- In Artifactory create a remote repository pointing to your Nexus
instance (e.g nexus-remote).
- On the nexus machine, walk the repository you want to migrate:
find /opt/nexus/repositories/releases -type f | sed 's,
/opt/nexus/repositories/releases,http://ARTIFACTORY_HOST:8081/artifactory/nexus-remote,'
| xargs curl -X HEAD
- By means of this all files from nexus are now pulled into Artifactory.
- Wait for all files being indexed in Artifactory's lucene index.
- Make Nexus readonly and repeat the find-pipeline.
- Move the whole content of nexus-remote in Artifactory to
libs-release-local, only metadata (e.g. the repository) has to be
changed.
- You may use copy instead of move as well, as Artifactory will only
duplicate the modified metadata.
- You may refine the second find run by only selecting files newer
than the first find run.

Regards Mirko
