Hey guys,
I'd like to inquire regarding features in the open source version of
artifactory:
1. Properties - once I uploaded an artifact from the UI and trying to add
some metadata to either the directory or the artifact itself the Properties
option in the Metadata tab is locked. I then figured that possibly it's only
available to perform via the REST API but according to the following it seems
that the metadata feature is not enabled for the open source version:
a. The Home tab shows the Properties feature is in the Pro Add-ons as
inactivated.
2. Properties search - reading the documentation for properties search
API it notes that it accepts a single or multi value. Is it possible to do
range searches? Like if I store a version in a metadata property, can I do a
range search for version >= 5.00 and <= 6.00 ?
3. Creating an artifact - is it possible via either the UI or REST API to
create a "dummy" artifact, meaning it's an artifact entry that will contain
metadata but we don't necessarily want to upload a binary there (I can work
around this by uploading an empty txt file or something but just wondering).
4. REST API in the open source version - is there a reference table or a
way to figure out what parts of the API are available? The WADL file on my VM
lists methods like the build promotion which is only available according the
docs on:
