I'm glad to hear you enjoyed using Artifactory.

As for your questions,
You are right, you may wish to change the items in the list of your remote
repositories over time (we do not auto-chnage it during upgrades, except for
extreme cases).
You can also use bintray.com JCenter repo: http://jcenter.bintray.com/
instead of all these repositories. The JCenter repo aggregates and contains
most of the artifacts in these repositories under a single URL!

Port 80 is just the common case, as the HTTP default.
