We have the 'backup-daily' job scheduled to perform an incremental backup of the Artifactory repository every weekday at 2:00AM
'Send Mail to Admins if there are Backup Errors' is selected under the 'Advanced' menu under 'Edit Backup' (Admin -> Services -> Backups -> Edit Backup) When the backup runs at 2:00AM it generates the following error email: -------------------------- 8< ------------------------ Artifactory's system backup 'backup-daily' was completed with some errors. Please see the server log for detailed information. Your Artifactory base URL is: http://artifactory.acme.com:8081/artifactory/ The following errors have occurred: Full system export failed: File /backup_storage_area/artifactory.config.xml cannot be written to!: File /backup_storage_area/artifactory.config.xml cannot be written to! -------------------------- 8< ------------------------ I have confirmed that the Artifactory process is running as the 'artifactory' user. I have also confirmed that both the location '/backup_storage_area' and the file 'artifatory.config.xml' are owned by the user 'artifactory' and have the correct permissions. (I can edit/create/delete the file 'artifactory.config.xml' when logged in as the 'artifactory' user.)
